The Gardens of Statesville Assisted Living and Memory Care is seeking a reliable and motivated culinary professional to join our team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role supports daily kitchen operations and contributes to an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portioning guidelines, and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, seasoning, and plating
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper storage procedures
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to the appropriate team members
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance or safety concerns
- Support special menu items, daily specials, and dietary requests as directed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, team-based environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
- Good communication and time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities
